Where do we begin in thanking all the people involved in passage of the bond for renovation and new construction at Cascade Valley Hospital? The voters should be given accolades for recognizing the need for expansion of the emergency department and other areas of the hospital. You provided the votes needed to make it happen.
Next are the volunteers who spent endless hours planning, campaign fund raising, distributing signs, speaking to groups and clubs, managing finances, coordinating advertising and media contacts, making telephone calls, collecting endorsements and many other tasks associated with a successful campaign. To these people we offer our deep felt thanks.
We want to recognize and thank John L. Scott Realty and Windermere Realty. They allowed campaign callers to use their offices and phone banks every weeknight for 10 weeks. Also, thank you to Gleneagle Country Club, for the donation of the banquet facilities for our election watch night. A special thank you must go to Connie DiGregorio. She worked tirelessly from that first snowy meeting day in January until we learned of the bond passage on a sunny spring evening in May. She was the hub of the whole campaign. Both of us have lived in this community all of our lives and have always felt a modern healthcare system is a necessity. We are proud to have been part of helping this service continue.
