MARYSVILLE – Both Mother-Son Superhero dances at Cedarcrest Middle School were sold out April 21.

Most of the moms also dressed up as Superheroes this year. Many copied their sons, wearing mostly Batman and Spiderman costumes, but others wore Wonder Woman outfits, and more. The boys also came as Captain America, Flash, the Hulk and more.

The event, put on by the city, was also helped by the Marysville Kiwanis and Key Club, which handed out popcorn and pop to keep their energy up. Landon Morris, 6, of Marysville stood out on the dance floor. His mother, LaToya, said that’s because he is involved in dance and gymnastics.

Becka and son Kasen, 5, Ostrom of Arlington were there for the first time, like many others. Their favorite dance was at the end – the only slow dance of the evening when moms picked up their sons, who wore big smiles as their mothers gave them hugs.
