ARLINGTON – Haller Middle School Leadership students recently organized a food drive to benefit the Arlington Food Bank.

The students gathered more than 1,500 pounds of food and $1,700 for the food bank. “One of the goals of the Leadership program is to reach out to the community, and this seemed like a great way to help our community members,” said Levi Younger, Leadership student and ASB president. Haller has hosted the food drive over the Valentine’s Day holiday for five years. This is the time of year when the food bank needs donations the most. “Our food supplies are down this year,” said Jerrie Inman, director of the Arlington Food Bank. “This really means a lot.”
