Rain, lightning in forecast leads to cancellation of Popcorn in the Park Star Wars movie Saturday

MARYSVILLE – Saturday night’s Popcorn in the Park movie event has been canceled.

Star Wars – The Last Jedi, will be shown Aug. 18 instead, starting at 9 p.m. at the Jennings Park ballfield.

For safety’s sake, the free family event was canceled. The weather forecast is calling for rain and lightning.

The movies often draw dozens of families and hundreds of people.
