LAKEWOOD — Lakewood High School hosted the state’s largest cross country meet—Hole in the Wall—Oct. 8.

The Arlington and Lakewood boys and girls cross country teams competed and were divided into two heats for each team.

The Arlington boys fastest team finished sixth overall with 235 points out of 29 3A teams: Results—29. Dawson Andrews 16 minutes, 27.4 seconds; 31. Kevin Mullin 16:30.3; 55. Blake Landry 16:48.3; 57. Eric Acero-Rosas 16:49.9; 82. Noah Loftis 17:07.6; and 122. Favian Villanueva 17:37.4.

Arlington’s girls fastest team finished 16th out of 28 teams scoring 448 points: Results—52. Mary Andrews 19:35.9; 93. Jensyn Smith 20:22.7; 96. Paige Nelson 20:26.2; 108. Kelsey Mutton 20:32.9 ; and 111. Rachel Sherson 20:33.7.

The Lakewood boys fastest team finished 13th with 361 points in the 2A race. Results—6. Conley Miller 19:13.9; 57. Igor Ribeiro-Dias 20:24.7; 76. Jonny Moore20:42.8; and 85. Taylor Stich 20:53.6.

Lakewood’s girls team competed in the slower heat, placing 15th with 375 points out of 27 teams. Results—47. Keely Hall 21:10.5; 56. Madison Howe 21:25.2; 88. Palina Buchanan 22:11.9; 101. Callie Buchanan 22:26.7; 113. Kallie Yargus 22:41.0; 114. Autumn Jensen 22:41.6; and 123. Holly Riley 22:54.8.
