Woman trying to help at wreck killed by passerby’s car

ARLINGTON – A Darrington woman was killed when she was struck by a car Saturday while trying to assist those who has been involved in a previous collision .

Trina Morgan, 46, got out of her car about three miles east of Arlington at 5:21 p.m., the Washington State Patrol report says. She wanted to help after there had been a separate collision on Highway 530.

A 21-year-old Darrington driver was westbound on the same highway. There was a collision, and Morgan died at the scene.
