Rodney Michael Mike Smith, 39, a resident of Prairie Grove, Ark., formerly of Whidbey Island, Wash., died Sept. 12, 2007, in Prairie Grove, in a tragic car accident.
He was born Jan. 23, 1968, in Edmonds, Wash., the son of James and Laurie Smith.
Survivors include his wife, DeeAnna Smith, of New Orleans, La.; one son, Kurtis Smith, of Prairie Grove; three daughters, Katie Smith, of New Orleans, La., Kayla Lawson and Kassie Lawson, both of Stanwood, Wash.; his parents, James and Laurie Smith, of Langley, Wash.; one sister, Jeanne Carty and her husband, Shawn, of Bellevue, Idaho; one niece, Sarah Carty, of Bellevue,; and one great-aunt, Loretta Kerr, of Oak Harbor, Wash.
Funeral Mass will be 4 p.m., St. Huberts Catholic Church, Langely; a reception/Celebration of Life, at 6 p.m., at the American Legion in Langely. both on Friday, Sept. 28, 2007. Internment to follow at the Langley Cemetary.
