Arlington classes, activities for March, April

Growing Beautiful Roses

Master Gardner Meg Jacobsen will present this class, which will start indoors, then move outside to prune the Stillaguamish Senior Center’s roses.

The class takes place Saturday, March 30, from 10 a.m. to noon for a $2 donation fee.

The Stillaguamish Senior Center is located at 18308 Smokey Point Blvd. in Arlington.

Vegetable Garden for Beginners

The Arlington Boys & Girls Club’s Hadley Hall will host this $2 class on Saturday, April 6, from 10-11:30 a.m.

Face-Painting Instruction

The Arlington Arts Council is offering a free face-painting class to teens and adults on Saturday, April 6, from 1-3 p.m in the Hadley Hall Community Room.

Class size is limited to 15, so please call the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department at 360-403-3448 to reserve your spot.

In lieu of paying a fee for the class, participants are requested to volunteer to do face-painting at a future Arlington community or school event of their choice.

Finding Your Roots

This class is taught by expert historians and designed to assist the beginning family historian.

Learn to organize, research and access repositories.

The class series costs $10 and runs Mondays, April 8-29, from 6:30-9 p.m. at 215 French Ave. in Arlington.

Tiger Family Martial Arts

This program offers the whole family an opportunity to get fit and learn some martial arts moves.

The class series costs $85 and runs Thursdays, April 18 through June 6, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Old High School commons, located at 135 French Ave. in Arlington.
