ARLINGTON — The city of Arlington has implemented a new automated customer service tool for their citizens to reach out to all city agencies with their questions or concerns.

The system can be accessed via the city’s website at www.arlingtonwa.gov, under the “Citizen Service Request” tab, and will allow customers to choose from the following categories:

• Police.

• Fire.

• Airport.

• Parks & Trails.

• Code Enforcement.

• Streets.

• Water/Sewer.

• General Questions/Concerns.

The “Talk to the City of Arlington” screen can be emailed once all the required fields have been filled out, and your request will generate a ticket that will be used by both you and the city to track your request.

This will give customers the tools to view, monitor, add information or modify their citizen requests, which will automatically be sent to an employee within the category of choice from the “Type of Request” drop-down menu, and will send the citizen instant confirmation that the request was received with its trackable ticket number.

The employee handling the request is able to enter any response or applicable information directly onto the ticket, which will automatically update the ticket on the customer’s side. This new system will allow citizens to monitor their questions or concerns simply by clicking on their “View Request” numbers on a periodic basis, which will ensure that their requests are handled in a timely manner.
