ARLINGTON — For the second year, the Gleneagle Family Restaurant Bar and Grill will serve as the site for a holiday party to benefit the Arlington Food Bank and other local charities.
According to spokesperson Ed Roach, last year’s fundraising party raised $1,000 in cash. This year’s fundraiser takes place on Dec. 11 at 7619 Country Club Dr. in Arlington and kicks off with a social hour starting at 5:30 p.m., followed by a prime rib and salmon buffet at 6:30 p.m. A DJ will provide music for attendees to dance to until 8 p.m., when Santa Claus and his helpers will arrive at the Gleneagle Clubhouse in a decorated Arlington fire truck to collect the donations.
Paul Nyenhuis has worked as an aircraft mechanic at the Arlington Municipal Airport for more than 35 years and Cathy Mighell hopes to shine a spotlight on him and a number of his fellow aviators from around the area for a good cause.
