7-Lakes signs stolen

Two hand-painted signs depicting three Canada geese and a red barn and declaring “Our rural lands are in your hands” were stolen recently from Lakewood. Posted outside of the Lakewood store by permission of the owner, the signs were taken in early March, according to 7-Lakes president Ellen Hiatt Watson. Watson’s mother, Regina Hiatt, an artist who lives at Lake Howard, painted the signs with the rural scenery of Lakewood. The signs declare 7-Lakes mission of preserving rural character and have gained the group a lot of attention.Anyone with information on the signs should call the Marysville Police Department at 360-363-8300.
