MARYSVILLE — Nick Agostinelli, who worked for The Marysville Globe and The Arlington Times for the past nine years, lost his battle with leukemia Aug. 25.

Agostinelli was born on Sept. 6, 1930 in Poplar, Mont.

In his time at The Globe and Times, Agostinelli worked as a delivery person and driver. In the past, he was often accompanied on delivery runs by his dog, Fritz, who rode in the truck’s cab.

Agostinelli loved going to garage sales, playing bingo and performing in a local theater group.

When asked, Connie Bowman, a friend and former co-worker, said the things she remembered most about Agostinelli were “His quick sense of humor and the twinkle in his eyes. He was a big-hearted guy. If you needed anything at all, he was always there to help.”

Agostinelli requested that there be no services. His ashes will be spread in Espanola, in eastern Washington.
