Evelyn Van Bodegraven

Evelyn Van Bodegraven, 83, went to see her Savior on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007.
She was born Sept. 6, 1923, in Everett, the oldest daughter of George and Nellie Sharich. She lived her whole life in the Everett/Marysville area graduating from Marysville HS.
In 1943, she married the love of her life, Van, and they spent the next 59 years together. During those years, Evelyn worked a short time for General Telephone Company and then First Federal savings and Loan (later Pioneer Bank) from where she retired in 1985. She loved working with and meeting new people.
Mom and Dad were avid square dancers for many years and belonged to a group of exhibition square dancers in the area. Mom made her own square dance clothes. Camping was another favorite pastime for mom, first tenting and later trailer camping always with a group of friends and family. Mom really loved taking her three grandchildren camping at Cultus Lake, British Columbia where she and dad could also golf together. Playing pinochle with friends was also a favorite of moms. Well miss you.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Walter Van Van Bodegraven; her brother, Chuck; her parents; and her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Van Bodegraven.
She is survived by her son, George Van Bodegraven; daughter, Carol McKissick (John); three grandchildren, Brian Van Bodegraven (Becky), Heather McKissick and Ian McKissick; her sister, Bernice Howell (Dean); nephew, Dean Howell (Trisha) and family; niece, Dee Dee Clayton (Jim) and family; and great-grandson, Tyler Van Bodegraven.
