Gertrude Clara Davis

Gertrude Clara Davis (Geyer) passed away Jan. 3, 2007, in Stanwood after an extended illness. She will be missed very much by her family and friends.
Gertrude was born July 28, 1919, in Lusk, Wyo., to Ernest and Emma Geyer. She was the oldest of three children. She has a brother Carl Geyer in Everett and another brother Fred preceded her in death in 1994.
After graduating from Monroe High School, Gertrude attended Seattle Business School and became a bookkeeper.
She married her high school sweetheart, William Delton Davis, in June of 1941. They had six children and spent many happy years together until his death in 1995.
Gertrude had a great sense of humor and her kids kept her pretty well entertained most of the time.
She loved to travel and spent many hours in the motor home with her husband. She also liked to fish, spend time with the grandkids and always had a beloved dog by her side.
Gertrude leaves her children, sons Delton (Bud) and wife Carol, Douglas and wife Georgene, Glenn and wife Teri, Ronald and wife Debbie. Her daughters are Marline Rosenbach and husband Mike, and Linda Reuwsaat and husband Butch. Gertrude has 11 grandkids and 9 great-grandkids.
At her request, there will be no service. Memorial donations can be made to your favorite charity.
