She is also survived by three sisters, Mary Ledbetter, of Battleground, Wash., Gladys Hansen, of Lacey, Wash., and Ruth Riske, of Seattle. Hazel leaves 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren, who loved her deeply.
Our mother had many, many talents, including painting and poetry. She especially loved horses and painted many pictures of them as well as flowers and old cabins. We are fortunate to have these to enjoy. She lived in the Olympia/Lacey area from 1933 until 1956 and was well known for being a waitress and chef in many of the restaurants. She was dearly loved and will be in our hearts forever.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
We wish to thank the staff at Madeline Villa and Providence Hospice for the loving care of our mother.
