On Oct. 22, 2006, Iris M. Shaffer, 70, of Marysville, Wash., went home to be with her Lord after an eight year battle with Ovarian Cancer.
Iris was born in Carrollton, Ohio, on June 24, 1936, to George A. and Esther M. Peregoy.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Harry, in 1938; her father in 1950; and her mother in 1996.
Iris is survived by her husband, Earl Shaffer, of Marysville; brother, George (Jeffelean) Peregoy, of Flower Mound, Texas; son, Rev. Earl G. (Marilyn) Shaffer, of Galloway, Ohio; son, Douglas J. (Cynthia) Shaffer, of Columbus Grove, Ohio; daughter, June (Brian) Tallman, of Arlington, Wash.; seven grandchildren, Grant, Elya, Kendra, Aubrey, and Micaela Shaffer, of Galloway, Christopher Tallman, of Arlington, and Jennifer (William) Frankhouser, of Arlington.
A memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at First Baptist Church, 4011 81st Pl. N.E., Marysville.
