Joan Doreen Tancreti

Joan Tancreti died surrounded by family, after a brief battle with lung cancer, on March 2, 2007.
Joan was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Nov. 26, 1938. She spent her youth in New Westminster, B.C. Joan came to the U.S. after marrying Ramon (Ray) Tancreti, who was in the Air Force. Following her husbands military assignments, Joan lived in France, California, Washington, New York and Alaska. Upon her husbands retirement in 1973, the family settled in Mukilteo, Wash. They stayed there for 12 years before moving to Marysville, Wash., where she lived until her death.
Joan is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ramon Tancreti; her brothers, Clarence Soderstrom and Curt Soderstrom Sr., of New Westminster B.C.; and Lorn Soderstrom, of Los Angeles, Calif.; and her sister, Rose L Heureux, of Nanaimo, B.C.
She is survived by her brother, Tim Soderstrom, of Toronto, Canada. She is also survived by her children, Monica St. Clair and her family of Arlington, Wash.; Tami Brown and her family of Snohomish, Wash.; and Reynold Tancreti and his family of Lake Forest Park, Wash.
Joan was a loving and thoughtful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She spent her time cooking and baking for her extended family and was happiest with a house full of family for holiday celebrations and Sunday dinner.
Upon her request there will be no memorial service.
