Juanita Gladys Henderson

Juanita Gladys Henderson, 87, died peacefully in her sleep on Oct. 27, 2006, after a prolonged illness.
She was born on Oct. 26, 1919 in Blaine, Wash., to Halbert Tupper and Florence Conrad, the seventh of nine children.
Juanita went to grade school in Clear Lake, Wash. The family then moved to Lake Stevens, Wash., where she graduated from Lake Stevens High School.
There Juanita met the man she would marry, Bob Henderson, when he arrived at her door on a motorcycle. They were married in November 1941, with Bob leaving soon after for WWII with the 505th Paratroopers.
Juanita lived in Granite Falls, Wash., for 40 years, Darrington, Wash., for 23 years and most recently in Everett for two years.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, in 2003; her parents, Halbert and Florence; and all eight of her siblings, Kenneth, Louella, Charles, Ruth, Herbert, Lester, Marcy and Bud. She leaves her family, daughter, Lois Roberta (Henry) Hofmann; sons, David Wayne (Eva) Henderson and R.T. (Anna) Henderson; grandchildren, Denni (Bob) Edwish, Edward Billingsley, Kim Cunningham and Janene (Dave) Deane; Anne Henderson and Glen (Gloria) Henderson; great-grandchildren, Tony Deane, Darian LaRue, Cassandra Deane and Sara King; Kelson, Kasay and Kristopher Edwish; Robert Henderson; Tasha Henderson; David and Andrew Cunningham; and two great-great-grandchildren, Syah and Adrian King.
Juanita will be remembered, loved and missed by all, including numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family wishes to thank the staffs of Marysville Care Center and Sunrise of Snohomish, Wash., for all the care they gave her in her last days. They also thank Providence Hospice of Snohomish County, for their care and comfort. Lastly many grateful thanks to Kathy and Teri of Elderhealth DayBreak program and Jean of Catholic Community Services. These three ladies saw Juanita on a weekly basis and were the highlight of her week.
Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Lake Stevens Fire Department. She always flirted with the young firemen. A celebration of Juanitas life will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006, at South Lake Stevens Grange.
