Lawrence Arthur Weaver

Lawrence Larry Arthur Weaver, went home to be with his Lord on Feb. 19, 2007.
Larry was born on Dec. 25, 1910, in Richland, Ore., to William and Winifred Weaver.
He served a four-year apprenticeship as a marine electrician at the Bremerton Navy shipyard. Larry joined the Navy in 1944. After being discharged in 1945, he used the G.I. Bill to obtain both a private and commercial pilot license.
Larry worked as an electrician while raising his three children Gene, Dick and Sharleen. He met and married Alice Turley in 1953 and they were married for almost 54 years. Larry was well known for his work ethic and mechanical ability, personally building his homes in Bremerton, Ellensburg, Kennewick and Marysville, Wash. An avid outdoorsman, Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing his entire life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alice; son, Dick Weaver (Joan), seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
His son, Gene Weaver; his daughter, Sharleen Armstrong; and grandson, Greg Weaver, preceded him in death.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Marysvilles building fund, the church where Larry has been a devoted member for many years.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at the church; a reception followed.
