Lyle Dub Eugene

Lyle Dub Eugene Preston, 79, passed away Aug. 29, 2007, in Arlington, Wash.
He was born to Cecil and Laura Preston Sept. 5, 1927, in Arlington.
Dub graduated from Arlington High School in 1945 and then entered the U.S. Army during World War II. He achieved the rank of Corporal grade four and received the WWII Victory and the Army of Occupation medals.
Upon returning to Arlington he worked for G & D and Summit Timber as a truck driver until he retired in 1987. Dub was an active member of the American Legion post 76 and advisor to the Sons of American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid bowler. Dub loved his family and his friends from the American Legion.
Preceding him in death were his siblings, Rick Preston, Vernon Preston and June Preston.
Dub is survived by his loving wife Shirley Preston of Arlington; sons Mike Preston of England, Wayne Preston of Germany and Brett Preston of Bremerton, Wash.; and ficw grandsons.
A Celebration of Life (potluck buffet) was held Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, 3 – 5 p.m. at the American Legion Post 76, Arlington.
