Robert Patrick Sheldon

Robert, an enrolled Tulalip Tribal member, passed away in Everett, Wash., on Oct. 18, 2007.
He was born Feb. 2, 1923, in Bellingham, Wash., to parents Eugene and Emma Descum Sheldon.
Bob was known for his quick wit and storytelling abilities.
He was named Strawberry Festival King and was a World War II veteran serving in the Pacific Theater with the U.S. Army.
He is survived by aunts, Bernice Williams and Katie Gates; uncle, Charles Red Sheldon; nephews, Roland Laclair, Mel Sheldon and Mike Sheldon; nieces, Deana Johnny Ramirez, and Toni Sheldon; cousin, Rose Lewis; and special friends at the Stan Jones Retirement Home, Dorothy Nudo, Norbert Wyakes, Gary Price, Millie Jones and Allison Jones.
Viewing service was held at 5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, followed by a Vigil service at 6 p.m., both at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, Marysville, Wash. A Funeral Service was held at 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, at Tulalip Tribal Center with burial following at Mission Beach Cemetery.
