ARLINGTON — Arlington’s Serafina Balderas led the girls basketball team with 12 points to lead the Eagles to a 65-56 win over Monroe Dec. 2.
PUYALLUP — It may not have ended the way Arlington wanted it to, but the girls soccer team enjoyed their time in Puyallup and placed fourth in the state with a record of 17-6.

ARLINGTON — Kat Sanchez wasn’t sure how she did it, but she held a very physical Bellevue team to zero goals Nov. 10 in the first round of the 3A state playoffs.

ARLINGTON — The Arlington soccer team battled with two-time state champion Edmonds-Woodway for the district title Nov. 7, but a goal by the Warriors in the second half proved to be the deciding factor.
ARLINGTON — The Arlington football team lost a physical contest to Bonney Lake 33-21 Nov. 6 for a chance to compete at the 3A state tournament.
Senior Tyler Courtney of Lakewood played his best game rushing for 182 yards and accounting for three touchdowns in the Cougars victory against Shorecrest 24-19 Nov. 3.
LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood football team defeated Shorecrest 24-19 Nov. 3 in a Cascade Conference 2A play-in game for districts. Tyler Courtney rushed for 182 yards and scored three touchdowns. He rushed in two of his TDs in the first half but also caught a TD for 16 yards from sophomore quarterback Austin Lane.
Lakewood, now 6-4, will play undefeated Squalicum at Civic Stadium in Bellingham Saturday, Nov. 7.
SNOHOMISH — The Arlington high school football team lost to Glacier Peak 29-19 in a 3A crossover seeding game Oct. 30.

ARLINGTON — Danielle Baker and McKenzie Buell of Arlington scored a goal apiece in soccer to give the Eagles a win over M-P 2-0 Oct. 26. The Eagles then trounced Lynnwood 6-1 Oct. 28 with two goals each from Olivia Larson, Baker and Buell. Arlington’s record is 12-3.
