Playing his finest tennis of the season, a determined Garrett Meyer crushed Oak Harbors Tyler Abrahamse 6-2, 6-1 to set the tone for Arlingtons 5-2 team victory Sept. 26. Everything was working for Meyer during the match. He hit a number of aces during his service games, hit for power from the baseline, and got to the net with ease to put away volleys. Meyer led 5-0 in the first set before, conceded two sloppy games, then polished Abrahamse off with an impressive display of overhead smashes.
Three Lady Logger volleyball players have been recognized with Northwest all-league honors sophomore Mandy Powell, and seniors Kristy Turner and Jill Frable.

The top Arlington girls tennis duo of Morgan Galusha and Bridgette Burkholder landed back on their feet after last weeks loss in an impressive display of power and accuracy. They dominated Oak Harbors No. 1 doubles team of Stephenson and Nielon 6-0, 6-1 in a match played April 17.
ARLINGTONColorado State University nabbed one of the top softball talents from the Wesco North conference earlier this week, as Arlington High School catcher Sheena Twitchell signed her name on a letter of intent to play for the Rams.
