Doris Ruth Younglowe

Doris Ruth Younglowe passed into her Saviors loving arms on Jan. 24, 2007.
She was born in Snohomish, Wash., Oct. 20, 1919, into the care of her parents, M. Louisa and James Muck. She lived almost her entire life in the Snohomish area and met her life-long companion, Harold whom she married in November 1945, and moved to the family homestead in Granite Falls, Wash.
As soon as time permitted a little girl was born to them named Ellen; and a year and a half later a son, Leo, arrived.
Doris worked in the family home as a homemaker. A few years later they moved back to Snohomish. She went to work for the Everett Clinic as a clerk. Later she worked for Mountlake Christian School as a bookkeeper and bus driver. Later she was employed by the Boeing Company in Everett and then was a medical stenographer for the Clearview Clinic. Before retirement, she spent several years in the family business building kitchen cabinets.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, of 61 years, Harold; mother, Louisa; father, James; and brother, Gary.
Surviving members are her son, Leo; daughter, Ellen and family; and a nephew and niece.
Doris moved to Eastern Washington in 2001 and lived there until the year 2005 because her husband was living at McKay Healthcare and Rehab in Soap Lake. When her husband moved back to Western Washington, she joined him to be near his side.
In the end, she struggled many years with Dementia. She was a fighter all her life, but the one person that meant the most to her was Gods precious Son, Jesus Christ. She eagerly waited for the day when she would see Him face to face. The time has now arrived.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at The First Baptist Church, Everett, Wash.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wycliffe Bible Translators, Orlando, Fla., with Doris name on the memo line.
Arrangements under the direction of Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, Marysville.
