Ole Christopher Eide

Ole Christopher Eide, 98, of Camano Island, Wash., died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006 in Mount Vernon, Wash.
He was born in Stanwood, Wash., on Aug. 25, 1908, to Pioneer Ole Erikson Eide and Kirsti Wold Eide.
He was the surviving sibling to Erik, Even, Ingeborg, Anna, Martha, Christine, Nina and Lars.
After graduating from Stanwood High School, he attended St. Olafs College and the University of Washington. Ole made his career from 1934 to 1969 with the Department of Game, where he was well known and respected by hunters and fishermen. In June 1935, he married Evelyn Jensen Bjorkman, a teacher. They made their home at Utsalady on Camano Island.
Ole was an avid fisherman, upland game bird and waterfowl hunter, but first he was a devout Christian, He believed in treating others the way you would want to be treated. He was a member of Camano Lutheran Church, Stanwood Historical Society and the Sons of Norway.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kirsti and Ole Eide; his wife, Evelyn; and eight brothers and sisters.
He leaves his son, David and wife Vicki, grandsons, Christopher Eide and Bradley Eide; daughter, Ann Eide; granddaughter, Rebekka Jenkins; grandson Jake Jenkins and his wife, Amy; great-grandchildren, Noah and Emma Jenkins; and he also leaves nieces and nephews and a multitude of wonderful friends.
Memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006 at Our Saviours Lutheran Church, Stanwood. Family graveside services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006 at the Camano Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
