Patrick Casey McCord

Our loving father, Patrick C. McCord, passed away on Sept. 8, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer. He died peacefully at home with his children by his side.
Patrick was born on May 6, 1945, in Wenatchee, Wash., to Samuel and Meleta McCord. He spent his first few years in Wenatchee before he moved to the Everett/Mukilteo area.
After being in the first graduating class from Cascade High School in 1963, he served four years in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed this very much and could remember it like it was yesterday.
Our dad was a big baseball fan and after playing softball and baseball in his younger years he moved on to coaching where he touched many kids lives. He also enjoyed NASCAR where he was able to go to the Daytona 500 last February.
Upon retiring early from Associated Sand & Gravel he found himself enjoying life in the beautiful mountains of Seeley Lake, Mont. Pat moved back to Washington where he spent his last two years sharing his wisdom and wonderful sense of humor with his children, grandchildren and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Meleta McCord.
He leaves behind his three sons, Terry, Troy (Kathy) and Shaun; daughter, Tammy; brother, Jim; and sister, Kathy. He will be greatly missed by his eight grandchildren, Jacob, Jordyn, John, Austin, Michael, Casey, Katelyn and Kari.
Our dad was incredibly loving and supportive of each of us and will be greatly missed by all those that had the pleasure to know him.
A special thank you to Providence Hospice and special friend of the family, Denise.
Memorials can be made to Providence Hospice.
Family and friends were invited to a celebration of Pats life from 4 – 7 p.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, at Jennings Park, Marysville, Wash.
